"My daughter enjoyed this so much we will absolutely participate in future events. My only regret was not signing her up to participate in both the morning and afternoon session. She did not want to leave."
"My daughter and my niece have not stopped talking about this event! It allowed them to see girls empowered and gave them a chance to use technology that seems to be geared primarily for boys. I love hearing the excitement in their voice when discussing the event!"
"This is exactly what 21st Century learning/teaching is all about! This type of thing is engaging to young kids and makes learning fun. Although (most) teachers do incorporate the use of technology in their classrooms, this was so much more! I love the fact that they were introduced to things they may have never even heard of and was able to play, and work together to figure things out.
Although all the above is awesome, my absolute favorite part was that the girls had to work together. We all know that being able to work with others (talk, listen, problem solve, improve, etc,) is so important today. I also feel that the fact that is was just for girls, made the girls feel important and boosted their self-esteem. I truly feel that if this continues each year, this could have a big impact on our community!"
"I've never seen my daughter light up so much about these things she learned. She always watch her older brothers participate in them and never showed interest. But now this is all she talks about!"
